gizfs
Storage: buckets and objects, embedded in a program or on a range of machines. Import a module by name, for example import * as Store from "gizdb:store";. Each page lists the module's public declarations exactly as an installed toolchain provides them.
| Module | Purpose |
|---|---|
| gizfs:cli | The storage command group, giz storage OPERATION ...: one table of storage operations over the typed Client of volume.giz. |
| gizfs:codec | The one binary encoding every stored byte of GizDB goes through: the log, segment files, the manifest and key-value snapshots. |
| gizfs:disk | What the engine needs of a directory and its files. |
| gizfs:node | A storage node: one process owns one locked durable range. |
| gizfs:object | Object names are semantic catalog entries over the same immutable Store as files. |
| gizfs:ordered | An ordered map from byte strings to integers: a B+tree whose inner nodes keep each child's largest key and entry count, so seek, insert and delete cost O(log n) and rank queries too. |
| gizfs:raft | A bounded durable Raft range. |
| gizfs:s3 | Bounded S3 profile. |
| gizfs:volume | Files and objects are deterministic clients of the same committed range. |
